During the month of October, the FBLA Chapter of Butler County Magnet School promoted Breast Cancer Awareness.
Their goal was to educate the school and community about this deadly disease.
The idea was brought to the organization’s attention by FBLA Treasurer, Thelsea Scott.
However, other officers, club members, and FBLA advisor-Mark McClaney actively participated with the week long activities.
Activities included: collecting donations, distributing informative brochures, selling Breast Cancer memorabilia, honoring breast cancer survivors, and remembering those who lost their lives to this disease.
Members made a special presentation to Mrs. Barbara Willis a nine- year survivor of Breast Cancer. She currently works at Butler County Magnet School as a secretary.
The FBLA Chapter of Butler County Magnet School raised $500.00 for the fight against Breast Cancer. Mr. McClaney was extremely proud of his club members for making this awareness project a great success.
