Special luncheon to celebrate 45 years of preserving history
In 1964, an organization was founded to help preserve the memories of the people, places and events that that form the history of Butler County. Four-and-half decades later, the Butler County Historical and Genealogical Society (BCGHS) is celebrating those who helped make the society a thriving enterprise.
In lieu of a regular quarterly meeting, members and guests are invited to a special Dutch treat luncheon at 12:45 p.m. Sunday, October 25 at The Chef’s Table in Greenville.
“This is an opportunity to not only celebrate a special anniversary in our Society’s history, but to recognize and honor those who have made significant contributions to the Society over the years,” said BCHGS member Annie Crenshaw.
“We hope many people will come out and join us for a delicious meal and a chance to celebrate our local history and those who work to preserve it.”
