FDA moves back to No. 1

Fort Dale Academy is back on top in the AISA world.

For the second time this year, the Eagles beat the No. 1 team in the state, (according to the Alabama Sports Writers Association), with a 14-6 win over Monroe Academy last Friday night. The Eagles moved back to No. 1 with the victory in the ASWA AISA Top Ten, released on Wednesday.

Greenville also inched to the top of the Class 5A poll, moving up one spot to No. 3, after its 28-7 win over then-No. 6 Demopolis. Demopolis fell to No. 10. Ranked ahead of GHS are No. 1 Cullman and No. 2 Hartselle.

In Class 1A, McKenzie is No. 9.
