Edgar A. Black Jr., age 77, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2009 in Huntsville Hospital surrounded by his immediate family. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Johnson’s Funeral Home in Georgiana. Burial followedfat Morrow Cemetery in Georgiana with Johnson Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Black was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ansel Black and his sister, June Black. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Watson Black and four children: daughters, Alisa Champion and son-in-law, Michael Champion of Montgomery, Diane Florida and son-in-law, Marlon Florida of Killen, Laura Black Rollins of Stevenson, and a son, Edgar Black III and daughter-in-law, Susan Hunter Black, and a sister, Erma Belle Bordeaux. Mr. Black is also survived by nine grandchildren, Kathryn Champion, Stepphanie Champion, Michael Champion Jr., Jonathan Florida, Michelle Florida, Sarah Rollins Piper, Victorian Rollins, Hunter Black, and David Black.
