Calling all area seniors: an opportunity to get free health screenings and information, win prizes and enjoy food, fun and games together, is coming to Greenville.
The SC Alabama Development Area Agency on Aging is bringing its “Health Fair for Healthy Living” to the YMCA of Greenville. The event is slated for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, September 18.
Exhibits from health-related businesses, organizations and health-care providers will be on display that day. Attendees can also participate in health screenings, games and other activities and drawings for door prizes.
YMCA director Amanda Phillips will lead a class on Relaxation Techniques, while Gloria Crosby, case manager of the South Central Alabama Mental Health Board, will discuss “Mind and Thoughts.”
The event will close with lunch for the seniors.
All area seniors and senior groups are invited to attend the event.
