Alice Crenshaw’s funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2009 from the College Street Church of Christ with Brother Bishnoo Rampersad officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery with Hudson Funeral Services of Greenville directing.
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving daughter, Donnette Crenshaw Beard; five sons, Jerome (Lelia) Harris of Greenville, Donald Crenshaw of Montgomery; Michael (Nancy) Crenshaw, Cantonment, Fla., Kenneth Crenshaw, Richmond, Va., Henry Crenshaw Jr., Pensacola; two stepsons, Leroy (Janice) Crenshaw, Mobile; George (Laura) Dean, Greenville; four sisters, Margaret Fountain, M.D. Baltimore, Md., Mildred (Al) Stallworth, Brooklyn, N.Y., Lelia Fountain, Cleveland, Ohio, Lucy (Walter) Lewis, Birmingham; two brothers, Benjamin (Bernice) Fountain, Long Creek, James “Pete” (Frances) Fountain, Pensacola; 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, including two special great-grandchildren, De’Andre “DJ” and Mynerika Crenshaw, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, and devoted friends Carrie Boggan and Elizabeth Bedgood.
