James Pitts

Mr. James Earl Pitts, age 84, a resident of Pigeon Creek,, died on Tuesday, August 25, 2009, at his daughter’s home. Mr. Pitts was a WWII Veteran and retiree of Chicago Short Line Railroad. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol E. Pitts. He is survived by his children, Holly (Frank) Rodriguez of Opp, George (Nancy) Pitts of Destin, Fla., Lisa (Ricky) Gray of Honoraville, Debbie (Kris) Olson of Chicago, Ill., and Rene (Richard) Taylor of Atmore; grandchildren, Jimmy, Kim, Brian and Stephanie of Destin, Fla., Tiffany, Chris, Lacy, and Griffin of Honoraville, Kurt and Carolyn of Chicago, Ill., Ricky Allen and Kim of Atmore, great-grandchildren, Keith and McKenzie of Destin, Fla., Emma, Marley, and Gray of Honoraville, and Wyatt of Atmore; brother, Charlie Ray Pitts of Pensacola, Fla., many nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Ruby Bowen of Greenville. Mr. Pitts was loved very much and will be greatly missed.
The family had a private memorial service on Friday, August 28th at 11 a.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home.
