Lt. Governor David C. Mills of Zone 4 of Optimist International will visit Butler County on August 17 at their regular meeting.

Governor Mills will bring greetings from Optimist International and report on ideas that were discussed at the last district meeting held recently at Kissimmee, Fla.

A Zone 4 meeting was held in Selma on Saturday, August 8. Clara Hudson and Gracie Perdue represented the Butler County Optimist Club. They shared a report on activities the club had participated in, including visits from Janet N. Smith, governor of Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi Districts, and Dr. Kathy Murphy, administrative assistant to the county school superintendent.
