ABC agents arrest 19 at Men’s Club Sunday

Enforcement agents with Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Board executed a late night raid at the Professional Men’s Club Community Center in Greenville on Sunday, arresting 19 people for both serving and drinking alcohol in a public place, according to Lt. Lance Price of the ABC.

Price said ABC received complaints of alcohol being served on Sundays at the facility. Two undercover agents with ABC entered the facility at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday night, he said, and was able to obtain alcoholic beverages.

Seven ABC agents then entered the facility just before midnight and made the arrests, said Price.

Price said the establishment does not have a license to sell or serve alcohol on the premises at any time.

The Greenville Police Department and Butler County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the arrests.
