Howard Leslie Moorhead, age 74, of McKenzie, died July 5, 2009 at his home. He was born in El Morro, New Mexico on September 28, 1934. Funeral services were held at the chapel of Cope Funeral Home in Evergreen at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2009. Burial followed in Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Industry with Cope Funeral Home directing. Mr. Moorhead was a truck driver by profession.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jeff Moorhead; he is survived by a wife, Sandra Moorhead of McKenzie; sons, Howard L. Moorhead Jr. of Prescott, Ariz., Craig Moorhead of San Jose, Calif. and Matt Moorhead of McKenzie; daughter, Melissa Reed of Prattville; brother, Jim Moorhead of Basilia, Calif., sisters, Nina Valdez of Stockton, Calif., Wanda Needles of Lodi, Calif. and Effie Cardena, of Madera, Calif., and 12 grandchildren.
