‘Once in a lifetime’ experience
The Senior Circle from L.V. Stabler had a great trip out west, touring the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam, two of the seven Wonders of the Modern World and the experience of a lifetime.
Another highlight of the trip was going to see the Memorial at the Bombing Site in Oklahoma City. Las Vegas was fun, too, but not the best part of the trip, says SC advisor Linda Holley.
Sky City in New Mexico was an interesting Indian Reservation that was added to the trip itinerary.
“Our most popular restaurant was Earl’s in Gallup, New Mexico. We had lunch on our way to our destination and on the way back. It was a place we could enjoy lunch and shop at the same time,” Holley said.
“We could purchase handmade items crafted by the Navaho Indians at remarkable prices – even the men enjoyed Earl’s.”
