A restructured General Motors will include Greenville Motor Company.

General Manager Ken Gibson received a letter from the automaker on Tuesday that the company had identified Greenville Motor Co. as a “key dealer.” Also, included in the letter was a new five-year contract, said Gibson.

“This is certainly good news to hear,” said Gibson.

GM filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Monday as the company undergoes government-mandated restructuring. The new GM will focus on four brands: Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac, and GMC.
