Does your doggie need a new “do?” Time for your canine to get a good clean up and fluffing?

Then plan to bring your dog for the finest “shampoo-and-do” in the county, courtesy of the Butler County Humane Society. The organization is holding a “Wag & Wash and Yard Sale” from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 6 at the Pet Laundry, located at 810 North Conecuh Street in Greenville.

“This is a great time to get Spot or Rex or Rascal or Suzie all clean and tidy before the summer heat takes over,” said Herbert Morton, president of the BCHS.

There is a donation of $20 per dog wash, with all proceeds benefiting the Butler County Humane Society.

Along with the dog wash, the organization is hosting a yard sale at the site that day.

“We welcome all garage and closet clean-out items you would like to donate, and if you have an item too big to transport, give us a call and we will arrange to pick it up,” Morton said.

(All donations needed by Friday, June 5.)

Also welcomed are donations of old towels (for pet wash and bedding), and any pet supplies, toys, treats, leashes, collars, carrying cages and other items for both dogs and cats.
