Norman-Blackmon Motor Company has received a letter from GM stating the U.S. automaker will not renew the dealer’s franchise agreement when it expires in October 2010.
The letter outlines, among other things, GM’s plan to restructure its operations as ordered by the federal government. That restructuring included terminating franchise agreements with approximately 1,100 dealers on Friday. Letters were sent by Federal Express and arrived on Friday morning at most of the dealerships targeted by GM, including Norman-Blackmon.
More information will be added as it comes available.
