Effie Mae Hanks, 103, a resident of Montgomery and formerly of Georgiana, died Monday, April 27, 2009. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2009 from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Allen Stephenson officiating. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing. Survivors include: son-in-law, Joe Berry of Montgomery; granddaughters, Joanne Jones and Jennifer Pruitt, both of Montgomery, a number of nieces and nephews.
