Walter Stone III (Babe Earl)’s funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 20, 2009 from St. Paul Baptist Church with Rev. Willie Nicholson officiating. Burial followed in Pinetop Cemetery with Hudson Funeral Services of Greenville directing. Mr. Stone leaves to cherish his memories a three-year-old son, Walter Michael Stone (Boo-Boo), an 11-year-old stepson, Demetrius Jordan (DJ), a loving fiancée, Cynthia Peagler (MeMe), two devoted brothers, Michael (Joyce), Rickey (Janice), two living sisters, Lynn (Dean), Michelle (William), a special friend and God brother, Joe L. (Aretha), all of Greenville; four nephews, Kenneth (Tonya) Kevin, both Birmingham; Rodgerick of Chicago; four nieces, Kendria, Karnesha, Meachelle and Jada (Bug); seven aunts, Cora, Sabrena, all of Greenville; Ora, Flora of Pensacola; Essie, Chicago; Dr. Lillie Williams. LaPalma, Ca., Beulah, Morena, Calif.; eight uncles, Frank (Janet) of Greenville, Walter (Voncille), James (Ruth), both of Montgomery, Billy of Springfield, Va., Early Ben (Louise) of Syracuse, N.Y., J.V. (Coretha), Newark, N.J., Willie Dan (Joyce) Sylmor, Calif., Charlie Frank (Emma) of Pensacola, and a very special uncle and friend, Roy Crenshaw of Greenville. Walter had a host of cousins and friends and one truly, very special friend to the Stone family, Mary Neil Simpson (DeAngelo).
