The wife of deceased Pioneer Electric Cooperative Board member Bruce Arnold, who recently lost his life to cancer, will fill the remainder of his term.

The decision was made in a special called board meeting on April 1, to appoint Linda Arnold to the post which ends October 2010. Bruce Arnold died March 7, 2009 after a battle with lung cancer. The 66 year old Selma resident owned and operated Dallas Glass Company, Inc. for 35 years and was elected to Pioneer’s board in 2007.

“It is just so appropriate to have her continue her husband’s work for our members,” said Pioneer’s Executive Vice President and General Manager Steve Harmon. “We’re looking forward to her being a board member and I know that she’ll make an excellent contribution” he added.
