Residents of Butler County won $875 in prize money and awards during the 2008 Alabama National Fair and Agricultural Exposition. A total of $87,531.91 was paid in prize money and awards to winners during the 55th Annual Fair, according to Randy Stephenson, General Manager.

In the community exhibits, awards went to Industry Community Club of Georgiana ($500); the Avant Homemakers Club of Georgiana ($300); and McKenzie Homemakers Club of McKenzie ($75).
