49 students, including 10 students from Butler County, attending Lurleen B. Wallace Community College have been selected as national outstanding campus leaders to be included in the 2009 edition of Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges.

Students from Butler County receiving this honor were: Shannon Carleen Viers of Chapman; Jeanette Jones, Lora-Ane Love, Verrazzani L. Mitchell, Kimberly Ann Powell and Amie Erica Wesley, all of Greenville; Joann Joyner and Kristen Lynn Raines of Georgiana; Kathryn Gayle Sanford and Brandi Nicole Willis of McKenzie.

Chambers named to Dean’s List at UM

Miranda S. Chambers, of Greenville was one of about 730 University of Montevallo students were named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester. Dean’s List honors went to 361 students.
