Allen Douglas Herring Jr., 61, a resident of Georgiana, died Sunday, March 22, 2009 in a Montgomery hospital. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2009 from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Harvill officiating. Survivors include: daughter, Jennifer (Michael) Burt, Greenville; son, Jeff Herring, Georgiana; mother, Rose Smith, Georgiana; sisters, Betty Jean Merritt, McKenzie; brothers, Billy Jack Smith, Brewton, David Smith and Stanley Smith, both of Geogiana; grandchildren, Andrea Burt and Zachary Burt, both of Greenville.
