Lucille Lowe McNeil, 86, a life long resident of Georgiana, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009, surrounded by her family. Funeral service was Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Allen Stephenson officiating. Burial followed in Morrow Cemetery.
Mrs. McNeil was a loving mother, adoring grandmother and devoted sister. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Winfred McNeil, beloved son, Steve Knight and grandson Wetzell Burkett. She is survived by her daughters Betty Didier and husband Paul, Barbara Ellison and Bonnie Walters and husband Jack; son Scott Knight and wife Juanita; grandchildren Jackie Toole and husband Joe, Shana Ellison, Trish Barganier and husband Mike, and Shawn Ellison and wife Stephanie, great-grandchildren Harley and Shae, Greyson and Gracey, Cody, Carmen and Caitlin, Shay, Amber, Cory and Evan and Kennedy and Knox; sister Juanita Hood and brother Ray Lowe.
Pallbearers will be her nephews. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Georgiana.
