A local school is launching an opportunity for their students’ literary and artistic talents to be showcased.

Greenville High School’s Creative Writing Class’s magazine, “Openit,” will be released in May.

“The magazine will be the school’s first-ever literary magazine, and not only will we feature poems and stories, we will also spotlight artwork, photography and more all done by our students at GHS,” said Naomi Pryor, “Openit” sponsor.

Pryor and her students are looking for literary and arts supporters in the community.

“Anyone who decides to be a patron, their name, or the name of their company, will be listed on the back inside cover of our publication,” Pryor said.

Platinum Sponsorship is offered for donations of $30 or more; Gold for $25; Silver for a donation of $20 and Bronze for a donation of $10.

However, Pryor said any amount is welcome and appreciated.

Forms can be picked up in the Greenville High School front office.

“Help us showcase these very talented students in a very special way,” Pryor said.
