Thedfore Mixon

Thedfore Mixon, 67, of Georgiana, died on January 26, 2009 at his home. Funeral services were held Thursday, January 29, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Belmont #2 Baptist Church in Garland with the Rev. Robert Morrast officiating.
Interment followed at First Mt. Zion Cemetery in Mixonville with Presley and Fluker Funeral Home of Evergreen directing.
Mr. Mixon was born July 28, 1941 to the late Tea and Vora Morrast Mixon. He joined First Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Mixonville at an early age. A graduate of Conecuh County Training School in Evergreen, he joined Belmont #2 Baptist Church in Garland where he served as trustee and as a faithful member.
He is survived by a devoted wife, Chlorine Nix-Mixon; a loveing mother, Genive (Aunt Bob) Mixon of Garland; two sons, Tharold (Antionett) Mixon of Dothan and Glynward Hasley of Georgiana; four daughters, Angela (Norman) Mills, Valerie (Carl) Lewis of Georgiana; rita (Freddis) Taylor of Sulphur Springs, Texas and Monica Hasley of Tuskegee; two sisters, Lillie Williams of Paramount, Calif., and Maxine Sledge of Montgomery, loving grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
