Animal shelter in need of blankets for outdoor pets

There’s a pet overpopulation problem at the Greenville Animal Shelter. And winter is here.
That means some of the homeless animals housed there need help from the community.
The shelter has put out a call for warm blankets to keep the animals housed outdoors comfortable on these cold nights.
Anyone who has old blankets, quilts or comforters they wish to donate to the shelter can stop by on weekdays or, in the event the shelter is closed, leave them at the entrance.
Butler County Humane Society president Herbert Morton encourages all pet lovers to consider their animal friends in need during severe winter weather.
