Butler Countians will have a chance to hear about the spread of the New Testament Gospel in South America this weekend at First Baptist Church of Georgiana.

Roy Durham, a Butler County court reporter, is also an active volunteer missionary who has taken part in the construction of three schools in Brazil.

“Roy’s had some very interesting experiences as a missionary and he will be bringing a special guest to our morning worship services to share his story with us,” said Allen Stephenson of G’ana FBC.

Brazilian pastor, Leandro de Lima of Caca Pava, Brazil, will be introduced by Durham at the 11 a.m. service this Sunday, January 4.

A short video, followed by a talk by de Lima, is planned.

“We are excited to begin our new year hearing about what God is doing to spread His Word in other parts of the world,” Stephenson said.
