Johnny Brooks, 88, a resident of McKenzie, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008 at his residence. Funeral services was at 11 a.m. Monday, December 15, 2008 from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Owens Officiating. Burial followed in South Butler Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing. Survivors include: daughter, Lottie Norris of McKenzie; son, Edward Brooks, McKenzie; sister, Audrey Peavy, McKenzie; brothers, James Brooks, McKenzie and J.W. Brooks, Montgomery; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
