Doris Marie Bolling, age 71, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2008 at Prattville Rehab and Nursing Home where she was a resident. Doris had previously lived in Thorsby and Georgiana. She was born on August 30, 1937 to Hillra and Bernice Bolling of Georgiana, who preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 1, 2008 at Harrison Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery at Georgiana with Harrison Funeral Home directing. A visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, December 1 from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors include: three brothers, Billy (Annie) Bolling of San Antonio, Texas, Norman (Brenda) Bolling of Satsuma and Neal Bolling of Georgiana; two sisters, Shelby Dowda and Nelda (Randy) Headley, both of Thorsby; five nieces, Debbie, Lisa, Denise, Erin and Kim; four nephews, Keith, John, Brian and Zac; three great-nieces and three great-nieces, and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Doris will be remembered for her love of Elvis Presley, her family and her special gift for getting everyone to see her point of view. Flowers are welcome or you may make donations to Thorsby First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 307, Thorsby, AL 35171 in Doris’s memory.
