Neapoleon Everett

Neapoleon Everett died October 1, 2008. Funeral services were held at noon Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at St. Luke AME Zion Church of Pigeon Creek (Greenville) with the Rev. Felton Henderson Jr. officiating and James Herbert Funeral Home of Greenville directing. Burial followed at Saint Luke AME Zion Church Cemetery.
Mr. Everett was born in Crenshaw County to the late Minnie Everett Cross and Selleven Cook on May 3, 1934.
He later met and married Liller Mae Ray. Mr. Everett was the father of seven children.
He worked for WT Smith, Rock Creek Logging and later Evergreen Forest Products, where he retired after 54 years.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted family, including his wife, Liller Mae Everett; his mother, Plezzie Cook of Birmingham; his children, Bessie (Milton) Abner of Arlington, Va., Sarah (Joe) Burnett and Carolyn Everett of Greenville, Nathaniel (Rema) Everett of Mobile, Selleven Leroy Everett and Charles Everett of Greenville and Patrick Everett of Auburn; grandchildren, Jerome Moore-Abner of Arlington, Va. And Kassie Everett-Carroll of Mobile, Selleven Neapolean Burnett of Greenville and Nathan and Ryan Everett of Mobile; sisters, LaVergie (Donald) Washington of San Antonio, Texas, Cora (John) Blackshear of Long Beach, NY and Thelmon (Frederick) Randall of Greenville; brothers, Bernard (Joann) Everett of Buffalo, NY, John Grady (Billie) Cook, Humphrey Cook of Birmingham; Jesse Jemison of Nashville, Joe Frank (Annie) Cross of Greenville and R.L. (Willow Dean) Cross of Greenville; sisters-in-law, Annie C. Maye of Birmingham and brother-in-law, Donald McTear of Greenville; uncle, Houston (Dorothy) Everett of Greenville, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
