Margaret Whitby Cooke, 78, a resident of Georgiana, died Monday, September 29, 2008. Graveside services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2008 from Oakwood Cemetery with the Rev. Alice Sawyer officiating and Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing. Survivors include: daughters, Barbara Lee Merry of Georgiana, Margaret Ann Gullot of Friendwoods, Texas, and Patricia Helen Beverly of Evergreen; son, Robert Gene Strieff of Georgiana, 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
