You can feel it in the air, just a touch of it. Fall is finally approaching. A change of seasons means a new fashion outlook: a change in colors, textures and shapes.
At The Pineapple in downtown Greenville, Katrina Scofield and her staff are ready to share their selection of fall fashion finds with customers.
Be bold this autumn with bright, vivid hues of blue, plum and green paired with neutrals and black. Softly feminine looks will be seen in fall florals and ruffles, often paired with classic menswear styles to keep the look fresh and not too frou-frou.
“With our warm weather lingering well into fall, light-weight knits in bold colors are a comfortable, yet fashionable way to make the transition,” Scofield says.
Perfect case in point: an outfit by bentley a., modeled by The Greenville Advocate’s own Amie Wesley.
Its sleeveless pickle green sweater will keep the wearer cool, while the matching print scarf adds a charming retro touch. A “floaty” coordinated print skirt completes this fresh and feminine ensemble.
“I love it,” Wesley says with a smile as she strikes a pose.
Shades of plum are also perfect for fall.
“Another perfect fall outfit from our bentley a. collection is this cute mulberry short-sleeved sweater with a great layered look. We pair it with a gored skirt in a mulberry, brown and cream print,” Scofield says.
Basic black: it never goes out of style. The Pineapple offers a wall filled with separates in this fashionable shade.
Wesley tries on an outfit from Nomadic Traders: a pin-tucked, V-neck prairie blouse with a romantic ruffled trim paired with a hand-batiked skirt in cocoa and black.
She adds a fashionable punch of fall color with an oversized mock-croc bag in lime green.
“Animal prints and textures continue to be very much in style,” Scofield says.
Indeed, The Pineapple features a line of separates with subtly wild prints, along with purses, bags, note pads and even luggage.
Want to get personal? The shop offers a plentiful selection of initialed items, including zebra-striped mouse pads, travel cups, polka-dotted photo albums and much more.
“We also have a great new selection of fall fashion jewelry on the way, so stop in to see us soon and shop for your new fall look,” Scofield says.
