Want to de-stress, relax and be at peace with the world? Then mark your calendars for Saturday, October 4.
That’s the date Jeanie Cobb, Yoga Alliance Registered Instructor and Stacey Fuqua, Licensed Massage Therapist, will bring their Lotus Touch Yoga Workshop to Greenville and Beeland Park. A day full of yoga and fun is promised to attendees during their “Journey into Peace,” says Cobb, yoga instructor for the Greenville YMCA.
“We’ll begin the day at 9 a.m. with a master yoga class led by me and end with a wonderful journey into relaxation featuring a yoga therapy message with Stacey – with lots of surprises in-between,” Cobb promises.
Following the workshop, the relaxing, peaceful journey will continue with the opportunity to enjoy chair massages and ionic footbaths (at an additional charge) for workshop participants and the general public.
The workshops are a dream come true for Cobb, who has been teaching yoga for three years.
“My experience over the past three years traveling the U.S. with YogaFit, and meeting the most incredible people along my journey toward my RYT certification, has been one that will remain with me for years to come,” Cobb says.
She and Fuqua are looking forward to offering affordable and desirable workshops and retreats across the South.
“The year 2009 holds many opportunities for me as I pursue my 500 hour RYT in regard to several destination weekend workshops and week-long retreats, such as the Grand Hotel in Point Clear. But I am especially excited to be doing this workshop in my own hometown, the first of what I hope will be many in Greenville,” Cobb says.
Cobb also has specialty training in Kids, Seniors, Prenatal/Post-Partum, Anatomy and Alignment, with Levels 1-5 and integrated Levels 1 and 2.
The Greenville Lotus Touch Workshop hours are from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.; the event is open to the public from 2:30 p.m. until 4 p.m.
The registration fee is $50 in advance. Late registration is $60.
Refreshments will be furnished; yoga mats, hand towels, straps and blocks are items participants will need to bring with them.
