Carl Brandon Sellers, Jr., 71, died at his residence Sept. 13. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with burial to follow at Central Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jason Simmons and Rev. Herbert Brown officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held on Monday, Sept. 15, 2014 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home. His closest motorcycle-riding buddies will escort the funeral procession to the graveside. Mr. Sellers was preceded in death by his father, Carl Brandon Sellers, Sr.; his younger brother, Gary Sellers; and his stepfather, Bud Cauthen, who raised him as his own son. He is survived by his mother, Roberta Hickman Cauthen of Greenville; wife, Janet Marcontell Sellers; son, Carl Brandon Sellers, III; daughter, Julie Sellers Swann; son-in-law, Jeff Swann; grandchildren, Mallory Sellers, Sellers Swann, Dailyn Swann, Julia Grace Sellers, and Carl Brandon Sellers, IV, all of Greenville; brother, Rod Sellers of Houston, Texas; brother, Daryl Sellers of Montgomery; sister, Becky Doyle (Jerry) of Houston, Texas; sister, Judy Izumi (Aki) of Houston, Texas; sister, Cindy Ackerman (Rob) of Montgomery; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Carl lived his life to the fullest. He loved his wife, standing by her daily in her illness. He loved his children and especially his grandchildren. Further, he loved his motorcycles, loved being Santa for Butler County’s children, loved building, loved being outside, and loved meeting new people. He was a character about town and never met a stranger. He lived his life in the present. When the sun came up, he came up wanting to enjoy every minute of the day.
