Mrs. Lavert Phelps Brown, 90, a resident of Greenville, died April 17. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, in the chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Hogwood officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Fort Dale Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband, James Elie Brown; children, Julia Atchison of St. Charles, Mo., and James Dwight Brown (Elizabeth) of Georgiana; grandchildren; Trisha Humphries (Galvin) of Lake St. Louis, Mo., Rebecca Shehan (James) of St. Louis, Mo., Robert Atchison (Allison DeWeese) O’Fallon, Mo., Jessica Harris (Michael) of Gautier, Miss., and Amanda Ward (David) of Georgiana; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
