Pioneer Electric Cooperative held a free ice cream social at Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Georgiana on Thursday afternoon, June 19, passing out sweet, cool treats so members could ask questions about energy usage and cooperative membership benefits. 

“We wanted to have an opportunity to meet and interact with our members outside of the office,” said Pioneer Communications Director Christi Scruggs. “This gives us an opportunity to meet our members in their community, bring them a sweet treat and show our members how much we appreciate their support.” 

Scruggs expressed the energy provider’s gratitude to Greenville-based Sugar Rush for serving the ice cream and Brushy Creek Baptist Church for making its facility available to host the event.
