Shawn Bentley and facility dog Wendell joined the Greenville Lions Club on Monday, June 16, to speak about the Alabama HERO program, a statewide Certified facility dog program with the goal of supporting victims throughout the criminal process. Bentley and Wendell visit child advocacy centers in Escambia, Covington and Coffee counties as well as in Butler, Crenshaw and Lowndes counties where they work with Claire Corley of Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center and Charlotte Tesmer, district attorney for the Second Judicial District.
