Linda Marie Lee Rodgers, born on Aug. 8, 1957, passed away on June 24 at her home surrounded by her family. A devoted member of Grace Baptist Church, Linda dedicated her life to education, holding an associate’s degree in arts and early childhood development. She worked as an OCAP Teacher and Education Director Assistant for 26 years in Butler County, shaping young minds with her passion and care. Linda was an active member in her community and a former youth leader for Garden Baptist Church
Linda’s legacy lives on through her daughter, Amanda (Chuck) Rodgers, and her cherished grandchildren, including Zara (Alex) Mcleod of Luverne, Alexandria (Tanner) Eastman of Ozark, Laden Rodgers, Laklyn Rodgers, Lyvia Rodgers of McKenzie and great grandsons William Adams and Ezra McLeod. She is also survived by her uncle, Frank Merritt of North Carolina; Jennifer (Jason) Whittle, James (Jennifer) Cawley, Mitchell Faust and stepchildren, Steven Moore and Stephanie Moore. She is preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Faust; three children, David Paul Rodgers, Mickeal Rodgers and Leann Rodgers; grandson, “Little” Pete Rodgers as well as parents, James Mickeal Lee and Lucille Lee, who instilled in her the values of love and service. Linda’s warmth and dedication will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Her impact on the community and the lives of her family will be remembered forever. She touched many hearts with her kindness and will be dearly missed.
Graveside services were held on Friday, June 27, beginning at 10 a.m. at Bushfield Cemetery, McKenzie, with Bro. Tyre Bowen officiating, and Johnson Funeral Home directing.
