Bob Gollihue was born Sept. 1, 1951, in Williamson, West Virginia, and left this world to be with the Lord on June 29.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 3, beginning at 2 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Michael Bush officiating and Johnson Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Vera Cruz Cemetery, Red Level. The family will be receiving friends for visitation, starting at 1 p.m. until service time.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Tom Gollihue; sisters, Mary Justice and Linda Gollihue. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Gollihue; brothers, Tom Gollihue (Evelean), Larry Gollihue; sister, Brenda Gollihue; stepchildren, Chad Bentz (Shawna), Jennifer Holliday (Kenny), April Till (Allen), Anthony Cook (Tara); eight step grandchildren, 13 step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army from Sept. 20, 1968 to Sept. 26, 1971. While in service he received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 device, Army Commendation Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal.
Mr. Bob was a loving husband, brother, stepfather, Poppy and uncle to his family. He enjoyed spending time in Bible Study, gathering with family, cooking, fishing, playing scrabble and listening to gospel music. He especially loved Psalm 23.
Pallbearers will be Devon Cook, Anthony Cook, Bryson Cook, Will Till, Richard Till and Blane Fuller.
