Golf Tournament

The Butler County Bama Club will host the Eighth Annual Colin “Big C” MacGuire Scholarship Golf Tournament Friday, June 6 at Cambrian Ridge in Greenville. Registration starts at 12 p.m., shotgun start at 1 p.m. An awards ceremony, cocktail party and dinner will begin at 6 p.m.

Hank Festival

The 46th annual Hank Williams Festival will take place June 6 – 7 featuring headliners T. Graham Brown Friday and Exile on Saturday. The park at 127 Rose Street, Georgiana opens Friday at 3 p.m. Visit hankfestival.com/events/ to purchase nightly tickets or weekend passes.

Education Conference

In an effort to spark local educational reform, Butler County Concern Citizens will host a panel discussion and education conference titled “Improving Education: 2025 & Beyond” on June 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lurleen B. Wallace (LBW) Community College.

Dance Recital

Sonya’s Dance Studio will hold a recital June 7, 7 p.m. at the Ritz Theatre.

BOE Meeting

The Butler County Board of Education will conduct a meeting on Monday, June 9 at 6 p.m. at the Central Office Boardroom located at 949 Oglesby Street in Greenville. The public is encouraged to attend.

4H Poultry Club 

The Butler County 4H Poultry Club will hold a meeting at LBW’s Wendell Mitchell Conference Center on June 12 from 4-5 p.m. Call 334-382-5112 to register.

Music Movement

The Greenville-Butler County Public Library hosts Music & Movement Thursdays at 10 a.m. The program provides fun for ages 1-5 but all are welcome.

Free Training

Reid State Technical College is offering free skid steer skills training classes beginning online and completed in less than a month. For more information call David Cole at 251-578-1313 Ext. 188 or email dcole@rstc.edu.

Celebrate Recovery 

Celebrate Recovery meets every Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church, 760 N. Conecuh Street in Greenville. The group deals with all types of issues and is free to the public. For more information call (334) 382-2138.

Quilt Club 

Quilt Club meets every Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Greenville-Butler Co. Public Library. Beginner and advanced quilters welcome. 

Book Club

The No Stress Book Club will be held at 4 p.m. every second and fourth Wednesday of month at the Greenville Butler County Public Library, located at 309 Fort Dale Road.

Knitting Club 

Knitting Club meets every Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Greenville-Butler Co. Public Library. Beginner and advanced knitters welcome. 

Morning Movers

Golf Tournament

Registration is open for the RTJ X AGA One-Day Series at Cambrian Ridge in Greenville Wednesday, June 18. Entries are $190 per team and close June 10. Visit golfgenius.com to register.

The City of Greenville will host a 4th of July celebration and fireworks on July 4 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the stadium behind Greenville Elementary School.
