Mayor Dexter McLendon, members of the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce, local business leaders and community supporters gathered Wednesday, May 7, to officially welcome Beacon of Hope to Greenville with a celebratory ribbon-cutting ceremony. Beacon of Hope, now located at 521 Greenville Bypass, offers compassionate applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy for individuals with autism.

“The services provided by Beacon of Hope focus on compassionate behavior therapy, emphasizing the development of life skills that promote independence and improve overall well-being,” said Chamber of Commerce Director Tracy Salter.

The new center is now accepting referrals and hopes to fill a critical service gap in the area.

“We are excited to be in Greenville which has historically not had a lot of resources for those with autism,” said owner and Board Certified Behavior Analyst Shelby Dapilla. “And we’re excited to join the chamber to not only serve our current clients but to provide resources and support for anyone in the area with autism.”

To introduce their staff and services, Beacon of Hope will host a free “May Day” event on May 23 from 9 a.m. to noon at 206 School Highlands Road in Greenville.
