John Rufus Jernigan, age 68, a resident of Georgiana passed away on Monday, May 12.

Mr. John was preceded in death by his son, Jason Jernigan and parents, Earlis Ray and Norma Jean Jernigan.

Mr. John is survived by his son, Miles Jernigan; siblings, James Jernigan, Julie Stinson and Jimmy Ray Jernigan; grandchildren, Dakota Jernigan, John Jernigan and Jesse Jernigan.

Mr. John served 4 years in the Marines, he will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
