Edward Wayne Boutwell, 87, a resident of Fort Deposit, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, May 3rd. At his request, there was a private graveside service held for him in Panola Cemetery with Pastor Michael Myrick officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Comer Grady and Dottie Zell Peavy Boutwell, and siblings, Grady Boutwell, LeRoy (Shirley) Boutwell and Gladys (Henry Neal) Cassady. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Kathy Ryals Boutwell; stepson, Dr. David L. Boyd of Durham, North Carolina and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to either the Panola Cemetery Fund, c/o Debbie McGough, 2237 Cook Road, Honoraville, Alabama 36042 or Bethel Baptist Church, P.O. Box 261, Ft. Deposit, Alabama 36032.
