The Greenville Rotary Club is set to host its sixth annual Crawfish Boil on Saturday, May 3, promising a lively evening of food, music and fellowship at the Butler County fairgrounds from 5 to 9 p.m.

The event, a staple on the local spring calendar, offers all-you-can-eat crawfish, Conecuh sausage, corn and potatoes, along with drinks, for $35 per person.

“The set will depend on the crowd,” said local musician Curk Mosley, who will provide live entertainment throughout the night. “You kinda just see what the mood is. A lot of people come with song requests and sometimes we’ve even brought up guest performers from the audience.

“I always look forward to the crawfish boil,” Mosley added. “I love doing it. It’s always fun to get the entire community together.”

Rotary Club President Cody Norman emphasized the importance of the event, which serves as the organization’s primary fundraiser.

“This is our big fundraiser,” Norman said. “All of the profits made will go right back into the community. It will stay in Butler County.”

Norman noted the event’s casual, community-centered atmosphere.

“We’ll start bringing out the crawfish a little after 5,” he said. “It’s just a big time for fellowship, to meet and greet and hang out.”

Tickets are still available and may be purchased from any Rotary Club member or by calling Norman at 334-782-0930. The event is open to adults ages 21 and older only.
