and local flavor on April 12, from 5-8 p.m. on the corner of Main Street in downtown Greenville, next to Goodwill. The free outdoor event aims to raise support for the father-son duo’s upcoming 10-day mission trip to Kenya, where they will help drill a water well and minister to remote villages in need.

“My son and I go to Life Change Church and we have a couple of missionaries that live in Kenya,” Tim Stewart said. “They go into remote villages and build wells so that the locals can have access to clean drinking water. We were asked to be a part of this Localyear’s trip and we’re so excited. Some of these people have been having to travel miles everyday just to get to a muddy pit of water. Being able to help them is life changing.”

Guests can expect a family-friendly lineup of original songs, classics, rock, country and Christian tunes.

The Smash Mouth food truck will be on hand with tasty eats available for purchase, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for a relaxed night under the stars. While the concert is free, donations will be accepted, and merchandise will be available to help cover the Stewarts’ travel expenses. Flyers posted during the event will include a QR code linking directly to the donation page for those who wish to give online.
