The Butler County Board of Education will conduct a special called meeting to conduct a student disciplinary hearing April 10, 6 p.m. at the Central Office Boardroom at 949 Oglesby Street in Greenville. The public is invited to attend.

Egg Hunt

The Greenville Parks and Recreation Department and the Greenville Chamber of Commerce presents a free community egg hunt Saturday, April 12, 10 a.m. at 177 Academy Drive (former YMCA). Meet the Easter Bunning and enjoy games and prizes. Call (334) 382-3031 for information.

Easter Celebration

Georgiana Cares presents a free He Lives Easter Celebration Saturday, April 12, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Hank Williams Park in Georgiana. Bring your own basket and enjoy food, fun and games. For more information about volunteering for the visit facebook.com/georgianacares.

Blood Drive

Walmart in Greenville will host a LifeSouth blood drive Saturday, April 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Last Supper

A presentation of The Living Last Supper will be presented at the Ritz Theatre Tuesday, April 15 at 6 p.m. Admission is free. The performance is a joint venture between St. Thomas Episcopal Church, First Baptist Church and First Methodist Church.

Graduate Workshop

Music Movement

The Greenville-Butler County Public Library hosts Music & Movement Thursdays at 10 a.m. The program provides fun for ages 1-5 but all are welcome.

Free Training

Reid State Technical College is offering free skid steer skills training classes beginning online and completed in less than a month. For more information call David Cole at 251-578-1313 Ext. 188 or email dcole@rstc.edu.

Celebrate Recovery 

Celebrate Recovery meets every Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church, 760 N. Conecuh Street in Greenville. The group deals with all types of issues and is free to the public. For more information call (334) 382-2138.

Quilt Club 

Quilt Club meets every Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Greenville-Butler Co. Public Library. Beginner and advanced quilters welcome. 

Book Club

The No Stress Book Club will be held at 4 p.m. every second and fourth Wednesday of month at the Greenville Butler County Public Library, located at 309 Fort Dale Road.

Knitting Club 

Knitting Club meets every Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Greenville-Butler Co. Public Library. Beginner and advanced knitters welcome. 

Morning Movers

The Greenville Exercise Center hosts exercise classes every weekday from 8-9 a.m. Guests can try the first class for free. For more information, call Helena Shirley at (334) 371-3030.

Book Sale

The Greenville Butler County Library will host its annual used book sale Saturday, April 26 at 9 a.m. to noon.

BCHGS Quarterly Meeting 

The Butler County Historical and Genealogical Society will hold their quarterly meeting on April 27 at 2:00 p.m. at Sardis Baptist Church. Jackson Knight, author of the popular series, “Churches of the Alabama Black Belt,” will be the guest speaker. 

Career Fair

The 2025 Spring Butler County School System Career Fair is set for April 29, 2 – 6 p.m. at Greenville High School. The system is hiring for a number of positions. RSVP is requested but not required. Call (334) 382-2665 or visit www.butlerco.k12.al.us for more information.

Crawfish Boil

The Greenville Rotary Club will host its annual Crawfish Boil on May 3rd from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Tickets are $35 each and can be purchased from any Rotary Club member or at the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce office.
