As of March 14, B’s Hive has officially moved from its original location beside McKenzie School to a larger space at 43850 State Highway 55. The restaurant, known for its breakfast biscuits and famous cinnamon rolls, now offers expanded seating, an extended menu and longer hours.

Owner Donna Bush said customer requests for expanded options played a part in the move.

“The building that we were in went up for sale,” Bush said. “Everyone had already been asking us to open at night but we didn’t have the room. Initially, we were a convenience store with a little bit of food, but we turned into a restaurant with a few convenience store items.”

The new location allows the cafe to serve the beloved breakfast offerings while also adding dinner options. The restaurant is now open Monday through Thursday from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., until 9 p.m. on Friday, and from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday.

“We’re going to miss seeing a lot of our kiddos from the school coming in for breakfast before class, but we just really needed the room,” Donna said. “Hopefully they’ll still make their way over here sometimes.”

Donna’s daughter-in-law, Lecole Bush, who also works at the restaurant, expressed appreciation for the community’s continued support.

“I think maybe we were out of the way for a lot of people before, so now we’re getting a whole new customer base and also seeing people we haven’t seen in a long time,” Lecole said. “We’re also still getting in a lot of our regular customers. We’re so thankful that our customers followed us.”

With a larger space, more staff and an expanded menu, B’s Hive aims to continue providing hearty meals and a welcoming atmosphere for new and returning customers alike.
