Authorities are investigating the death of Jonathan Bryant Reno, 37, of Georgiana, whose body was discovered inside a vehicle on Shows Road on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 12. Butler County Sheriff David Scruggs confirmed Reno’s identity on April 2 and stated that, while investigators do not wish to speculate, there is currently no indication of foul play.

“We send all bodies up to forensics in Montgomery, so now we’re waiting on them,” Scruggs said. “We may get results next week or next month depending on how backed up they are. But at this point, we don’t expect any type of foul play.”
