BOE Meeting

The Butler County Board of Education will hold a special called meeting Wednesday, April 2 at 12 p.m. at the Central Office Boardroom located at 949 Oglesby Street in Greenville.

Music Movement

The Greenville-Butler County Public Library hosts Music & Movement Thursdays at 10 a.m. The program provides fun for ages 1-5 but all are welcome.

Gardening Workshop

The Butler County Forestry Planning Committee and the Butler County Extension Office present a Plastic Mulch Layer Demo Workshop with presenter Jacob Kelly, Extension Horticulture Agent on April 2, 10-11 a.m. at 2286 Airport Road in Greenville. Call (334) 382-5111 to register.

Spring Cleanup

Reid State Technical College is participating in the ALPAS Don’t Drop it on Alabama Spring Cleanup to help tidy up No Man’s Land and join a healthy competition for the most litter pickup and recycling April 2, 9 – 11 a.m. Register at bit.y/rstcspringcleanup.

Health Education

Regional Medical Center of Central Alabama is offering free health and wellness education Thursday, April 3 at noon in the hospital dining room. Brandon Slagley, MD and Manu Kaushik, MD will speak on Colorectal Cancer.

Scholarship Luncheon

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Lambda Delta Zeta Chapter will host the Annual Finer Womanhood Observance and Scholarship Luncheon Saturday, April 5 at 11 a.m. at Beeland Park. Tickets are $25 for adults, $10 for students. See any chapter member for tickets.

A Community Yard Sale to benefit The Crisis Closet is planned for April 5, 6:30 a.m. to noon at 523 Greenville By-Pass in Greenville. Stop by and check out the wide selection of bargains.

Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery meets every Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church, 760 N. Conecuh Street in Greenville. The group deals with all types of issues and is free to the public. For more information call (334) 382-2138.

Quilt Club meets every Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Greenville-Butler Co. Public Library. Beginner and advanced quilters welcome.

The No Stress Book Club will be held at 4 p.m. every second and fourth Wednesday of month at the Greenville Butler County Public Library, located at 309 Fort Dale Road.

Knitting Club

Knitting Club meets every Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Greenville-Butler Co. Public Library. Beginner and advanced knitters welcome.

Morning Movers

Fashion Show

The “Don’t Miss Fashion Show and Showcase” is set for Saturday, April 5 at Few Street Park beside Johnson Furniture in Greenville. The event runs from 10 a.m. until noon.

Wellness Fair

A Wellness Fair for expectant mothers and parents or guardians of children ages newborn to six months is planned for April 8, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at LBW Community College’s Wendell Mitchell Conference Center. Participants will receive free gifts. RSVP by calling (334) 382-5111.

Egg Hunt

The Greenville Parks and Recreation Department and the Greenville Chamber of Commerce presents a free community egg hunt Saturday, April 12, 10 a.m. at 177 Academy Drive (former YMCA). Meet the Easter Bunning and enjoy games and prizes. Call (334) 382-3031 for information.

Easter Celebration

Last Supper

A presentation of The Living Last Supper will be presented at the Ritz Theatre Tuesday, April 15 at 6 p.m. Admission is free. The performance is a joint venture between St. Thomas Episcopal Church, First Baptist Church and First Methodist Church.

The Greenville Butler County Library will host its annual used book sale Saturday, April 26 at 9 a.m. to noon.

Crawfish Boil

The Greenville Rotary Club will host its annual Crawfish Boil on May 3rd from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Tickets are $35 each and can be purchased from any Rotary Club member or at the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce office.
