Residents and guests of Country Place Senior Living of Greenville enjoyed an evening of elegance and community at the facility’s annual Winter Formal on Feb. 28. The event featured live music, a sit-down dinner, delicious desserts and door prizes, creating a festive atmosphere for attendees to connect and celebrate.

“Our senior population goes through, and it’s not just here at Country Place, but the senior population everywhere goes through all of the excitement of the holidays,” said Executive Director Alaina Till Norman. “They go through their family being around at Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Year’s and they’re just inundated with family, and in January, February, they have a big letdown.”

To combat the seasonal slump, Country Place staff organized the Winter Formal, embracing a theme of blues and silvers to capture the beauty of the season while uplifting spirits.

“You know, they’re all sad, and it’s just, they have the winter blues. So instead of having the winter blues, we did a winter formal and, of course, incorporated the blues and the silvers and everything we could think of,” Norman explained.
