Mr. Johnny Stinson, a resident of Georgiana passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 24 at the age of 82..
Graveside Service was held on Friday, Feb. 28, beginning at 11 a.m. at Morrow School House Cemetery, Georgiana, with Johnson Funeral Home directing.
Johnny was preceded in death by his mother, Inez Stinson, and grandparents.
Johnny served in the National Guard, achieving the rank of specialist 4th class. In his younger years, he loved hunting and fishing. In later life, still loving the outdoors, he enjoyed cutting grass, landscaping and dabbling in construction work. Johnny definitely wore out many lawn mowers and grass trimers back in the day. He also loved the Alabama Roll Tide, catching all the games he could while enjoying a Coke. If you were to visit him, you might just hear some Jimmy Swaggart or the Gaither Quartet. Johnny will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and life-long friend — caregiver Harry Manning and his family.
Pallbearers were Pete Burleson, Keith Burleson, Jimmy Burleson, Timmy Burleson, Donnie Gipson and William Bozeman.
