Alongside the Annual Camellia Show held Feb. 15 – 16, the Greenville Camellia Society also organized an artisan’s market at the Beeland Park Community Center. Here, artisans from Greenville and the surrounding areas sold goods, and attendees could see the Gee’s Bend Quilt Exhibit set center stage in one of the rooms. Some of the goods sold on Saturday and Sunday include baked goods, woodworks, paintings and photographs, crocheted items and soap. Quilters from Gee’s Bend also provided more information on the historical significance of the group and offered welcome mats and small rugs for sale. Outside the community center, there were also food trucks selling refreshments to attendees.
